Be sure to do what is important for them!
Depending on the their breed/breed mixture and coat type, dogs need to be groomed every 5 to 8 weeks.
Nails should be clipped every 14 to 20 days!
Gland expression and ear maintenance is important as well.
Dogs with dry skin or other skin conditions need to be bathed regularly in medicated shampoo, which can be purchased online or from the vet and brought here to the shop with you! If you are unsure of which shampoo is best for your dog's troublesome skin, we will be happy to make a recommendation during an appointment.
The essentials of grooming
Proper coat, skin and nail maintenance is ESSENTIAL for the health and happiness of your pet!
When working with dogs, especially grooming, (where all the places are touched!) it is important that the dogs feel safe, secure and PAID ATTENTION TO!!!
Dogs are our livelihood and we treat them with love and respect!
Grooming prices are dependent upon weight and coat condition
ALL grooming service prices include the folllowing:
~Shampoo-PH balanced for dog's skin. Deodorizing formula for long lasting clean skin!
-Gentle baby shampoo for sensitive skin and faces.
-Medicated shampoo (antiseptic and antifungal) for dogs with skin conditions (this is a routine that also needs to be implemented at home for full effectiveness).
~Haircut-standard breed cuts, shavedowns, fluffy guard cuts, maintance trims (face, feet and sanitary trim) We do it all!
~Blowdry/ Brushout/Deshed- Slicker brush, Metal comb, Rubber brush and High velocity dryers are used for de-shedding. Fan and hand held dryers are used for haircuts. All dogs are sent home BONE DRY! "Wet DOG Syndrome" is real!
~Nails- Clipped and filed (dremmel)
~Glands- checked and emptied if necessary.
~Ear cleaning-hair is trimmed out of canals. EAR HAIR PULLING IS UPON REQUEST AND AT DISCRESTION OF GROOMER.

Essential Grooming is centered around one- on-one service
The calm energy surrounding Essential Grooming sets up a gentle atmosphere that is necessary for safe and effective grooming. The owner and operator of the business is the only groomer present during appointments. It is a TRUE one- on- one, in home service experience!
Fleas are itchy, tricky and flat out unhealthy for your pet!
Flea infestations WILL be addressed with a flea dip treatment for an additional $8
Keep in mind, a dip treatment is necessary, but only a temporary fix
Dogs will need to be kept on flea and tick prevention to keep the bugs away.
One on one service ! No old fashioned groom shop chaos
Unlike busy grooming and boarding facilities, that are often noisy and packed with dozens of dogs, I do not have but three to four appointments per day.
Additionally, I strategize to have them at separate times when possible. This allows us to give your animals the individualized attention and patience that they DESERVE!
